Forklift Driver 2nd shift

About the role

Remedy Intelligent Staffing has immediate openings for Forklift Operator associates through a client in Iowa City, IA. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity in a team‑oriented environment with room for advancement, working to package products for store displays.

Schedule

Shift/Hours: Forklift Hours: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Pay

Forklift $18/hour + $1 shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Operates sit‑down forklift to maintain production safety, quality and efficiencies during assigned shift.
• Selects warehouse product to fill customer orders accurately and proficiently.
• Loads transport trailers according to company shipment standards, unloads transport trailers and warehouses product to maintain effective production safety and quality.
• Maintains minimum scans per hour performance within Company standards.

Requirements

• Lift or transfer a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of various products.
• Must have forklift experience for forklift positions.
• Perform repetitive motion activities.
• Read, understand, and communicate all safety and operational procedures in English.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally prefer 6 months of experience.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer.
• Strong organizational, inventory, and accounting skills.
• Ability to read, decode, and decipher freight coding.
• Ability to operate a hand truck.
• Ability to perform tasks in inclement weather conditions.
