Forklift Driver - 1st Shift

Pay: $16.50/hour, full-time with accelerated benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Move various sized units and products between staging areas
• Maintain accurate records of unit locations
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties
• Assist with general warehouse operations as needed

Requirements

• Pratt forklift certification (required)
• Strong safety awareness
• Previous Pratt experience or two years of forklift operation preferred
• Experience with scanner or barcode-based warehouse inventory systems preferred
• Ability to identify and maintain equipment
• Multi-tasking, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• High school diploma or GED
• Pass substance abuse screening according to company policy
• High attention to detail to prevent damage to materials and equipment
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Availability for weekend work schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the corrugated industry
• Experience as a forklift operator

Skills

• Able to read and follow written and graphic instructions
• Basic math skills: percentages, measurements, volume, and rate calculations
• Working knowledge of equipment design, product layouts, and quality standards

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
• Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration
• Loud noise level in work environment
