Forklift & Building Materials Operator - Billings
About the role
Join Our Growing Team in Billings, MT! Weyerhaeuser Distribution is a global leader in delivering high-quality building products for residential, light commercial, and home improvement projects. We’re excited to announce the opening of our brand-new Billings Distribution Center, and we’re looking for motivated individuals to help us build something great from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Operate propane/gas forklifts to move building materials safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trailers and rail cars
- Perform manual labor (55–65% of your day) in an outdoor environment
- Accurately count, record, and document shipping/receiving activities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations
- Uphold safety standards and speak up when something doesn’t look right
- Use basic math skills and computer systems to support daily operations
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn — no forklift experience required!
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and move up to 100lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions five days a week and occasional Saturdays
- Strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset
- Commitment to wearing required safety gear and following safety protocols
Qualifications
- This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position.
- You will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.

Pay
Start at up to $20.50/hour, with opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm — enjoy your evenings and weekends, with occasional Saturdays based on business needs.
