ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklift
• Properly handle product
• Use basic math
• Verify cases picked to match Bill of Lading
• Communicate all issues to management for improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Ship product free of contamination
• Follow all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
• Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
• Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
• Report any leaking or spilled product immediately
• Inspect all incoming and out going loads for signs of product contamination

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE STAND UP FORKLIFT
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Physical Demands: Regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Specific vision abilities required: Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Work Environment: Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
