ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate forklift
- Properly handle product
- Use basic math
- Verify cases picked to match Bill of Lading
- Communicate all issues to management for improvements
- Other duties as assigned
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Ship product free of contamination
- Follow all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
- Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
- Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
- Report any leaking or spilled product immediately
- Inspect all incoming and out going loads for signs of product contamination
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE STAND UP FORKLIFT
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Physical Demands: Regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required: Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Work Environment: Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
