1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Overtime is mandatory and based on production schedule.
About the role
The forklift operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials (trash, recyclables, waste by-products) by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials around the plant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.
Requirements
- 1+ years of previous industrial material handling experience in a manufacturing facility preferred (training available based on applicant experience).
- Stand-up forklift experience a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be certified by C&W Services to operate a forklift (training and certification provided).
- Drug test and pre-employment physical required.
- Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot.
Skills
- Ability to maintain forklift certification.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and write intelligible reports.
- Knowledge of plant layout, including location of materials.
- Familiarity with plant safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure in a manufacturing setting.
- Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.

Pay
$16.72 – $19.67 per hour. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
