Forestry Worker position in Oakley, ID for the 2026–2027 season.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
- Drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free work zone
- Able to walk up to 15 miles per day, stoop, bend, and carry a 55 lb pack over rough, non-trail terrain
- Minimum of 2 months commercial brushsaw/chainsaw experience
- Must be available for the entire contract period (10/01/2026–05/31/2027) and work in all assigned areas
- Possible post-hire background check at employer’s expense
Responsibilities
- Hand-plant seedlings using shovels and hoedads
- Clear brush and debris by hand and mechanical means
- Apply herbicides with 5-gallon backpack sprayers
- Use chainsaws to clear brush and vegetation from various sites
- Perform other related forestry-worker duties as defined by SOC/OES 45-4011
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 40+ hours per week
- Contract period: October 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027
Pay
$16.55 per hour, with potential to earn up to $32.80 per hour.
