This position is located in Redding, CA and serves as the Forester III - Tribal Affairs Liaison within the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). Requirements
- Valid California Registered Professional Forester License (must provide a copy prior to hiring).
- Annual medical clearance to wear respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), as required by Cal/OSHA. The clearance process includes a comprehensive medical evaluation: review of medical history, physical examination, vision and hearing tests, spirometry, and exercise treadmill test.
- Completion of CAL FIRE Fighter Academy (FFA) and Company Officer Academy (COA) training during the probationary period as a condition of employment, or proof of prior completion.
- Valid Driver’s License of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Pay
$9,897.00 - $12,843.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time position. In-office work location in Shasta County.
