Forescout Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including detection and vulnerability capabilities and event correlation in large enterprises
Develop relationships with other teams and communicate security complexities to diverse audiences
Contribute to risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas
Support Tier II IT operations, including ticket updates, issue responses, and remediation
Aid with deployment and maintenance of Forescout CounterACT appliances

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with other teams and communicate security complexities to diverse audiences
• Contribute to risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas
• Support Tier II IT operations, including ticket updates, issue responses, and remediation
• Aid with deployment and maintenance of Forescout CounterACT appliances

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration for Windows or Linux, including troubleshooting, configuration, and security upgrades
• Experience architecting and designing IP networks, developing network topologies
• Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, data centers, WAN, LAN in virtualized environments
• Associate’s degree and 10+ years of supporting IT projects and activities, or Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years, or Master’s degree and 6+
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification such as SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP
• DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification (CSSP-IS), including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, Cloud+, or CND

Qualifications

• Required: Associate’s degree and 10+ years of supporting IT projects and activities, or Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years, or Master’s degree and 6+
• Preferred: Experience with deployment or maintenance of Forescout CounterACT appliances
• Preferred: Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, and risk management processes
• Preferred: Ability to install and deploy Forescout in customer environments
• Preferred: Ability to integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom tools like Splunk
• Preferred: Support in Tier II IT operations, including issue response and remediation
• Preferred: Self-starter with excellent communication skills and team collaboration
