Foreperson - Newcastle

Higgins Coatings is Australia's premier commercial painting contractor, providing complete painting maintenance service and solutions to a broad range of industries. Due to growth, we are seeking a Foreperson Painter to join our Newcastle team.

About the role

This is a full-time permanent role. You will be on the tools and work closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects on-time, within scope, within budget, and safely.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear understanding of each project
• Coordinate employees and equipment/materials
• Supervise employees and apprentices
• Ensure work is completed safely (e.g., conduct toolbox talks, update risk assessments, and ensure correct PPE is worn)

Requirements

• Trade-qualified painter, ideally with commercial painting experience
• EWP licenses are desirable
• Experience in managing small painting teams
• A strong focus on safety, including using online safety systems

Pay

Great hourly rate, plus supervisor allowance, a daily travel allowance, plus super – paid weekly.
