About the role

Under the direction of the Field Superintendent, this position will oversee operations strategic planning. You will assist with project scheduling, review plans and specifications, and set goals and expectations. The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with construction operations, including installations, safety, materials, and personnel, while ensuring proper team selection for all projects.

You will implement Safety Department protocols, review and discuss safety documents with field personnel, and ensure work is performed safely. Additional responsibilities include completing project documents, determining staffing requirements, generating RFIs, training field personnel, and communicating project expectations and due dates.

You will mentor, train, and develop supervisors to meet current and future business needs, coordinate with sub-contractors and internal departments, and promote a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Attend job site meetings to provide input for General Contractors and Project Managers.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for detailers and field personnel.
  • Generate project progress and health reports with field support assistance.
  • Evaluate field personnel performance.
  • Review and track project labor budgets.
  • Order tools and equipment required for project completion.
  • Ensure quality installation of products.
  • Return tools, equipment, and excess materials to vendors for credit.
  • Adhere to and promote company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor or upper management.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Proficiency in Google applications (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs).
  • Computer and smartphone skills for electronic field-to-office software and communications.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Close and distance vision abilities.
  • Auditory/hearing abilities, including hearing customers via telephone.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional requirements to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl during job site walks.
  • Regular attendance and responsibility.
  • Valid Class “C” driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle.
