Forensic Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This position is for a licensed MD with board certification to provide inpatient psychiatric care in a 150-bed facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time inpatient forensic psychiatric coverage for a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
• Attend daily treatment team meetings and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 12-14 patients per day.
• Work on-site during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with no call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board-certified MD in psychiatry.
• Experience in inpatient forensic psychiatric settings preferred.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and handle a variable length of stay.

Schedule

Full-time, 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.

Additional Details

• Support staff includes RNs, technicians, therapists, and administrative personnel.
• Work in an on-site inpatient environment with a mixed patient demographic.
