Forensic IT Investigator
Job Summary
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing a range of forensic investigations of security incidents to support investigations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of forensic investigations of security incidents according to related policies, laws and regulations
- Execute and investigate security incidents; notify and report to Security Management
- Prepare reports and documents of details and outcome and present to appropriate stakeholders
- Apply forensics methods and techniques to test security technology, hardware/software equipment, operating systems and memory for electronic data trails detection and devices records tracing
- Collect and analyze investigative information and data to identify criminal behavior, poor security practices and unauthorized activities
- Support business leaders and key stakeholders in understanding problems, assessing risks and benefits, and presenting solutions
- Manage multiple complex cases while achieving results
- Manage key security software platforms such as incident reporting and mass notification
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in an information technology related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant field; 6+ years of experience
- Experience in Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, and/or Incident Management
- Preferred certifications: Computer forensics and/or fraud certifications, such as CCFE
