Forensic Evaluator, Psychologist - Lincoln Regional Center

We are looking for a skilled, professional Forensic Evaluator, Psychologist. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical care to adult patients with mental illness at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), an inpatient, 250-bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital that is run by NE DHHS and is located in Lincoln, NE.
LRC serves people who need very specialized psychiatric services and provides services to people who require a highly structured treatment setting because of mental illness.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice psychology in the state of Nebraska or eligible to obtain a provisional license.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting competency to stand trial, insanity, and risk assessment evaluations.
- Knowledge of relevant Nebraska statutes and case law.
- Experience conducting assessments with both adults and adolescents.
- Experience providing court testimony and qualified to provide expert opinions.
- Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation
Hiring rate of position
Starting pay rate: $60.00/hour.
Provisionally licensed starting pay rate: $55.28/hour (Provisionally licensed)
Work schedule
Work Schedule: 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday-Friday with some flexibility.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Licensed as a Psychologist (or will be before starting in the position) in the State of Nebraska. Experience conducting forensic evaluations.
- Knowledge of relevant statutes and case law.
- Experience conducting assessments with both adults and adolescents.
- Experience providing court testimony and qualified to provide expert opinions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use technology to facilitate telehealth evaluations and complete written reports.
