About the role
Discover a more connected career at VCI Construction, LLC as a Foreman on our Telecom Underground team. You'll lead crews in the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunication systems while ensuring everyone follows safety protocols and project timelines.Responsibilities
- Lead crews to meet project timelines
- Help with training of crew members
- Read and understand blueprints
- Ensure everyone follows company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
- Aid the Supervisor with daily tasks
- Communicate with property owners regarding work to be performed and resolve any issues
- Safely operate heavy equipment and machinery
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- To be 18 years of age or older
- To have authorization to work in the United States for this company
- To hold a valid driver’s license
- To have a high school diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
- To have at least three years of related work experience
- To have previous Foreman experience preferred
Qualifications
- Routinely work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level
- Routinely operate vehicle and heavy machinery
- Routinely perform fine hand motions
- Routinely bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally use a ladder, keyboard, and mouse
