Foreman (Surface Prep Projects)
About the role
The Project Manager oversees blasting operations both on-site and off-site, manages project schedules, coordinates resources, and ensures timely project completion. This role involves motivating and developing a team, maintaining customer relationships, and adhering to departmental budgets.
Responsibilities
- Motivate, direct, coach, and develop a diverse, high-performing team through coordination and supervision of team members.
- Plan, organize, and execute daily/weekly work schedules based on business needs and availability.
- Determine staffing and equipment needs, plan staff development, and internal role development.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of each team member, clearly communicating expectations, performance feedback, coaching, and appraisals.
- Maintain and build customer relationships in competitive geographical locations, recognizing areas for expansion to drive profitability and build presence.
- Create and adhere to a customer retention program.
- Create alliances with known contractors to increase the company's chances of winning bids.
- Manage and promote the company's purpose and priorities.

- Manage weekly management meetings to discuss department achievements, problems, concerns, goals, and forecasts.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field managing a services division.
- Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
- Energetic self-starter with an intense sense of urgency and capable of following tasks through to completion.
- Excellent organization and proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with abilities to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
