Responsibilities
- Interpret Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and provide redlines to the Site Supervisor as required
- Oversee and execute installation activities for assigned crews, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met
- Plan weekly work fronts, coordinate tasks, and organize materials to support efficient execution
- Identify and communicate material and consumable needs to the Site Supervisor in a timely manner
- Support resolution of on-site issues and assist in managing crew-level disputes
- Communicate site conditions and constraints to the Construction Manager, including resourcing, site services, and materials
- Manage crew timesheets and ensure accuracy of daily reporting
- Promote and uphold Aecon’s safety culture, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of substation field experience, including at least 1+ year in a Subforeman or leadership capacity, with hands-on experience across key substation scopes
- Proven experience in: Foundation installation in line with engineered specifications, Conduit installation and routing within substation environments, Ground grid installation and grounding systems, Precast trench installation and site integration, Cable tray installation for structured cable management, Structural steel installation and alignment, Apparatus installation and equipment setting, Bus work installation with proper clearances and fit-up, Low-voltage cable installation, termination, and wiring
- Demonstrated leadership capability, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working in brownfield environments, including protection grounding, is considered an asset, along with exposure to substation energization and commissioning/start-up activities
- Collaborative, solution-oriented team player with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed
