About the role
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Foreman to oversee field operations and lead crews on a variety of customer projects. This position is responsible for coordinating daily job activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and serving as the primary point of contact between the company, customers, and field employees. The Foreman will travel to customer locations, including restaurants, hotels, commercial facilities, and other job sites, to oversee project execution and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews on assigned projects from start to completion.
- Drive to customer locations to oversee operations and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project timelines, expectations, and completion.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work assignments and crew activities.
- Prepare and assist with project bids and job estimates.
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and tools are operational and ready for each project.
- Monitor job progress to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Resolve routine employee concerns and customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including labor, equipment usage, and project completion reports.
- Coordinate with management regarding project status, staffing needs, and operational challenges.
- Train, mentor, and develop field employees to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience in construction, industrial services, environmental services, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience scheduling crews and coordinating multiple projects.
- Ability to prepare job estimates or assist with project bidding.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to verify equipment readiness.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and basic computer applications.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Work Environment
- Frequent travel to customer locations throughout the service area.
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Projects may take place at restaurants, hotels, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and other commercial locations.
- Typical schedule consists primarily of daytime hours, with occasional evening, overnight, weekend, or emergency response work as business needs require.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
