About the Role

We are seeking leaders who can drive accountability in a professional and civil environment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead with fairness, consistency, respectfulness, and transparency.

This role involves supervising, assigning, coordinating, and evaluating semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel based on their skills, experience, and job knowledge. Responsibilities include supervising and training employees to improve work quality and quantity, recommending training to enhance skills and productivity, and assisting in developing training procedures.

You will break down broad strategies into practical action plans and ensure employees are trained to execute them. The role requires compliance with all technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings and procedures. You will oversee manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact on the company’s performance. Additional duties include supervising qualified trades staff, monitoring job and budget performance across all shifts, and managing the Pipe department with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

• Must have one of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of an apprenticeship, OR
  • High school diploma and 4 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, or military experience, OR
  • Associate degree in a trade/technical field and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, or military experience
• Internal candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Superior attendance and disciplinary record
  • No more than 3 unexcused absences in the last 180 days
  • No safety DANS resulting in disciplinary layoff in the last 180 days
  • No more than 2 total DANS in the last 180 days (excluding lost tool incidents)
• Willingness and ability to work any assigned shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or apprenticeship completion, OR high school diploma and 6 years of related trade experience
• Experience as a work leaderman and/or performing supervisor re-rate duties
