About the role
Join a world-class organization operating in advanced technological environments globally. As a Foreman, you’ll lead a team in constructing aerial and underground fiber optic facilities, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, budget, and timeline standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the crew from project start to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, budget, and timelines.
- Review project documentation with the crew to prepare for builds, assemble materials, and determine installation methods.
- Supervise on-site inventory and material tracking.
- Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per deliverable timelines.
- Train crew members on proper safety and quality standards aligned with the Crew Career Development Program (CCDP).
- Verify crew certifications and skillsets to perform the scope of work.
- Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies.
- Submit daily progress reports, noting potential schedule delays or missing materials.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of installation methods for underground duct, aerial path and cable construction, handhole and manhole placement, site layouts, road and landscape restoration, and grounding.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to operate mini-x, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong verbal and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adhering to schedules.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or related trade school education.
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Good physical health to meet the role’s physical demands.
- Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
