Summary Of Position Functions
The Foreman II - HVAC is a skilled intermediate supervising position in directing the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC/Plumbing related systems, equipment, and in commercial, industrial environments, and also includes fabrication.
Essential Position Functions
- Manages mid-size projects in conjunction with field operations and completes projects timely including planning, labor needs, laying out, participating in, and supervising work on job sites and / or in the shop.
- Manages project scope, daily reports, jobsite documentation, and T&M and other field generated changes.
- Completes daily hazard prevention plans, facilitates weekly safety meetings, stops work that is unsafe, reports safety incidents, and follows PTP and company safety standards.
- Responsible for providing direction on layout, installation standards, means and methods, and addressing quality issues to ensure quality control.
- Manages safety equipment, material ordering, site storage, staging, laydown, tools, and material deliveries needed to complete assigned project(s).
- Captures project start-up with tech / crew.
- Manages timekeeping records for jobsite crew.
- Attends trade meetings on the jobsite(s).
- Provides mentoring of installers and apprentices on assigned projects.
Non-Essential Position Functions

Education And Qualifications
- To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) to two (2) years of experience as a Foreman; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of OSHA 30-hour training.
- Demonstrated proficiency and familiarity with use of proper hand and power tools and operation of related equipment including platform lifts, forklifts, backhoes, and excavators.
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass and meet security clearance requirements, background checks and / or other identification processes for client work of particular or confidential nature or as may be required by the company.
- Must comply with all applicable federal, state and local statutes, regulations, and procedural requirements mandated by work performed that is of a qualified, defined safety sensitive nature.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Work is performed under general direction of an administrative superior and is subject to periodic review.
- Knowledge (beginning to intermediate) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), may be required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
