Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas.
  • Communicate proactively with the Specialty Shop Manager and team about urgent needs in the area.
  • Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates.
  • Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock.
  • Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor.
  • Keep the product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing a rapport and offering assistance.
  • Maintain a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers.
  • Be organized, multi-tasks, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly using strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in various forms.
  • Show attention to detail.
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere, and treating others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures.
  • Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser.
  • Lead work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1-3 months of sales experience.
