About the role
The Sales Outfitter plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This position involves a variety of selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously.
Responsibilities
- Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
- Demonstrates product knowledge to customers and replenishes product on shelves as required according to merchandising guidelines.
- Maintains product expertise through ongoing training and remains knowledgeable about advertised sales and pricing.
- Aids in seasonal floor merchandise moves and restocks merchandise as needed.
- Keeps the work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Fulfills all company policies and procedures.
- Provides exceptional customer service by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Required: High School education or equivalent experience.
- Knowledgeable about products and able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Proficient in operating a computerized point-of-sale register system.
