About the role

The Sales Outfitter plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing necessary information and assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service
  • Ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
  • Demonstrates product knowledge to customers
  • Replenishes product on shelves according to Merchandising guidelines
  • Maintains product expertise through ongoing training
  • Remains informed about advertised sales and signs
  • Aids in seasonal floor merchandise moves
  • Restocks merchandise as needed
  • Keeps work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies
  • Fulfills all company policies and procedures
  • Provides exceptional customer service by helping customers make informed purchasing decisions
  • Identifies and evaluates customer needs
  • Makes product recommendations based on evaluation
  • Promotes programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to calculate discounts and make change
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Knowledge of computerized Point of Sale register systems

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly stand and/or walk during shift
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
  • Constantly communicate with others to exchange information
  • Occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
  • Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
  • Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments
