About the role

We are seeking a Footwear Product Developer for a one-year contract assignment. This role is pivotal in the development of performance basketball footwear within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans for performance basketball footwear.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders in other geographies, which may require occasional evening calls.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met and maintain accountability within the project team.
  • Facilitate communication between design, color, product line management, and development teams.
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion when working with signature athlete product lines.
  • Engage in the full footwear development process, distinct from initial design.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience is required, with a preference for experience in performance footwear development.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to create and execute project plans while holding team members accountable.
  • Experience in footwear development with a major athletic brand is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading 3D CAD model views is required.
  • A personal connection to or passion for basketball, such as experience as an athlete or in wear-testing, is beneficial.
  • A self-starting, ambitious, and deadline-oriented work ethic is essential.
  • A confidence in influencing and communicating with teammates is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in footwear development with a major athletic brand.
  • Proficiency in reading 3D CAD model views.
  • A personal connection to or passion for basketball, such as experience as an athlete or in wear-testing.
  • A self-starting, ambitious, and deadline-oriented work ethic.
