About the role

This is an elite opportunity for a motivated, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon to step into a high-volume role within the largest orthopedic and sports practice in Central Texas. Supported by a massive referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network, you will lead the charge in complex foot & ankle reconstruction and specialized orthopedic care.

Step into a practice designed for a specialist who thrives on clinical variety and surgical complexity. You will manage a diverse case mix including:

  • Complex Foot & Ankle Reconstruction: Lead interventions for end-stage arthritis, Charcot neuroarthropathy, and total ankle replacements (TAR) utilizing the latest prosthetic technology.
  • High-Acuity Trauma: Manage pilon fractures, calcaneal trauma, and complex Lisfranc injuries within an integrated trauma system.
  • Elite Sports Medicine: Provide cutting-edge care for ligamentous repairs, syndesmotic instability, and osteochondral lesions for a high-performance patient population.

Call structure: 4 days of call required per month. Practice setting: inpatient and outpatient. Employed position within a nonprofit health system. Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex foot and ankle reconstructions, including total ankle replacements and management of Charcot neuroarthropathy.
  • Handle high-acuity trauma cases such as pilon fractures, calcaneal trauma, and Lisfranc injuries.
  • Provide specialized sports medicine care, including ligamentous repairs and treatment of osteochondral lesions.
  • Participate in a call schedule of 4 days per month.
  • Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
  • Fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
