FOOD UNIT LEAD (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Location: FS St Elizabeth Ascension, 1506 South Oneida Street, Appleton, WI 54915. Online applications only.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time schedules available. Shifts: 6:00 am–1:30 pm and 11:00 am–8:00 pm; days may vary with rotating weekends included. Additional details provided at interview.

Pay

$19.00–$21.00 per hour.

About the role

Coordinates activities of other food-service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors. As part of Compass Healthcare, TouchPoint serves patients, families, and visitors at Ascension Health hospitals nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Oversee and participate in preparation and service of food and beverage items per company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
• Help plan menus.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service; supervise serving of meals.
• Respond to customer complaints in person and via email.
• Train employees; assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Complete required daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, cash, production records, payroll, timekeeping).
• Handle cash properly per the Food Accounting Manual (deposits, petty cash, change funds).
• Order food and supplies from approved sources.
• Direct and participate in overall sanitation and safety of facility and employees per company standards and government regulations.
• Develop sanitation schedules and ensure adherence for cleaning of kitchen, dining area, utensils, and equipment.
• Issue written and oral instructions.
• Help select and orient employees; oversee staff training in areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Willingness to train (training provided).
