FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER (PART TIME)

About the role

Canteen is hiring a part-time FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER. The position is located at Coffee Distributing Corp at 200 Broadway, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is part-time, Saturdays and Sundays, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. Additional details will be provided during the interview.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver food, beverages, coffee, and other products to customer locations while providing excellent customer service.
• Load, unload, inspect, and verify deliveries to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
• Maintain food safety standards by properly handling perishable products, monitoring expiration dates, and following FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain a clean delivery vehicle, and report any equipment or vehicle maintenance needs promptly.
• Interact with coworkers to ensure company service standards.
• Provide quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous driving experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver's license and a valid food handler's permit where required.
• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.

Pay

$24.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour.
