Food Services Technician I Driver/Trayline

About the role

At Southeastern Virginia Training Center (SEVTC), we serve citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are an intermediate care facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) where we support individuals in state-of-the-art homes with accommodations unique to their specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive a delivery truck to and from residential homes in all weather conditions
• Load and unload food carts and deliver to homes safely and accurately
• Push carts into homes and connect them to re-therm units
• Ensure proper placement of hot and cold items in carts prior to delivery
• Wash dishes, lids, and trays according to Back of House (BOH) standards
• Assemble/disassemble the dishwasher and clean food service equipment
• Set up trays with condiments and prepare supplemental food orders
• Ensure food is served at appropriate temperatures
• Clean and sanitize food carts, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
• Maintain cleanliness of food service areas including scrubbing floors and tables

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active, valid driver’s license required
• Basic knowledge of food safety
• Awareness of BOH regulations and ability to adhere to them

Qualifications

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $34,322 - $38,688 per year, Pay Band 1.

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM. Includes weekends and holidays.
