Food Services Specialist

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes department at beginning and end of shift.
• Adjusts staffing for absenteeism and workload.
• Sets and adjusts work assignments to meet meal and call processing service demands.
• Assigns tasks, coordinates preparation and production of food required for all service points.
• Leads, directs and assigns work to all assigned staff.
• Checks production tally against patient census, cafeteria requirements, retails areas, diet office, and catering.
• Assists with the training and evaluation of staff competency and performance.

• Full Time- varied days and shifts which includes weekend mornings 5:30am-1pm, weekday evenings 1:30pm-10:00pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
• 1 year related experience Required.
• 3 years Hospital Food Service, 3 years Food Service, Diet Representative Experience or Diet Technician Experience Preferred.

Skills

• Food Handlers Card - Certification.
• Manager Food Handlers Card - Certification.
