About the role

The Food Service Representative delivers patient trays during meal service within established time frames to ensure therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste, and appearance standards are met. They also assist with food production and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient trays during meal service within established time frames, ensuring therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste, and appearance standards are met.
• Announce self before entering a room utilizing the AIDET protocols.
• Assist patients with trays when requested, demonstrating patient-focused customer service standards using the ICARE service protocols.
• Demonstrate understanding of nutrition and discuss appropriate menu selection options with patients to meet therapeutic diet requirements when required.
• Properly respond to nursing staff needs for patient food care in a timely manner.
• Deliver tube feeds to the appropriate galley.
• Stock and restock your assigned work station on the tray line during meal service and at the end of your shift.
• Adhere to all Maricopa County Health Department Food Code sanitation standards and maintain assigned work area according to those standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Technical Training Diploma/Degree or Vocational/Specialized training (Preferred)
• Course work in Food and Nutrition (Preferred)
• Food service experience in a healthcare environment
• Food Handler’s Card

Schedule

Full Time - mainly 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm, days and hours vary.
