Food Services Manager

About the role

The role of the Food Services Manager at Brighton Center, Inc. is to coordinate the food services needs of the residents of the Brighton Recovery Center for Women and catering needs in the Northern KY area. They provide supervision to support staff, training and support to the residents assigned to the kitchen and catering programs, and ensure compliance with NKY Health Department standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly menus providing nutritious meals to residents in the recovery program that meet DOC and VA standards and are cost-effective.
• Work cooperatively with area non-profit agencies and private requestors for catering services, preparing, transporting, and serving meals in accordance with NKY Health Department standards.
• Process Food Stamp applications in accordance with the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS).
• Ensure monthly reports are submitted to DCBS by the fifth of each month and are accurate.
• Adhere to all contractual regulations as addressed in the operations manual.
• Train and support staff on proper food handling, preparation, and storage, and facilitate culinary training classes.
• Ensure all staff is trained to uphold NKY Health Department standards.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings.
• Collaborate with staff on specific residents.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license.
• Food Services experience, preferably in kitchen management.
• Supervisory experience.
• A Food Services Certificate.
• Catering experience preferred.

Pay

This is an Exempt position with a salary range of $43,888 - $45,888.
