Food Services Manager

Camp Baldwin is a year-round Christian camp and conference facility located on beautiful Wolf Bay in Elberta, Alabama (near Gulf Shores/Orange Beach). We host almost 9,000 guests of all ages per year from around the southeast and serve over 55,000 meals annually.

About the role

The Food Services Manager oversees meal preparation and execution, ensures cleanliness of the food services department, and meets guest needs, including special dietary and allergy requirements. This role participates in the Christian community with other staff members and families.

Responsibilities

• Order food, supplies, and other necessary items for meals and cleaning
• Schedule and manage other food services staff (full and part-time)
• Receive deliveries to ensure accurate items and amounts
• Maintain health and cleanliness standards according to health department regulations
• Execute meals in a pleasant and competent manner
• Create menus based on guest needs, including handling special allergy and dietary requirements
• Complete miscellaneous assignments as directed by the Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, and load items up to 25 pounds
• Pleasant and competent communication with guests, vendors, and staff
• Leadership in a Christ-like manner
• Availability to work any shifts needed (minimum 40 hours/week), including busy summers
• Willingness to obtain ServSafe certification, if not already certified
