Food Services Director
Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders and mental health issues. We provide assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions, and mental health concerns across facilities in various regions of the U.S.
About the role
The Food Services Director oversees the preparation and serving of all meals, manages the food service production and delivery system, and ensures conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. This role works closely with the facility leadership team to ensure success by directing the food service budget, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Direct the expenditure of the food service budget and ensure operations stay within established guidelines
- Assign, direct, and supervise food service workers, including hiring, transfers, promotions, demotions, or dismissals
- Follow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to maintain high food quality
- Plan, implement, and review breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
- Prepare all local, state, and accreditation reports as required
- Implement strategies to attract and retain customers
- Understand and implement safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 3 years of experience in a food service capacity
- Minimum one year in a supervisory position as a food service supervisor in a healthcare facility, or equivalent military service experience
- Current ServSafe Certification
- Current CPR & Basic First Aid certification
- All other state-required licenses and certifications
Skills
- Proficiency in food preparation, regulation compliance, and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to work collaboratively with cooks and other staff to improve kitchen operations
- Experience managing budgets, including cost controls for food, beverage, and labor
- Leadership skills to mentor, engage, and develop teams
- Ability to build and maintain effective client and customer relationships

Pay
Starting at $70,000 per year, based on experience.
