Food Services Aide (Dishwasher) | Full Time

Prepares and serves specified food for patients and cafeteria customers, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Washes dishes, pots, and pans.

Required Certifications

• Idaho Food Handlers Card

Work Experience

• No experience required.
• Preferred: Cooking experience
• Preferred: Experience in a Food Service Environment

Responsibilities

These functions depend upon whether assigned to the Dish-room or the Café.

Café

• Read/write/verbal communication
• Cash handling, opening/closing cash register drawer
• Recording temperatures of both food and refrigeration equipment
• Deep cleaning
• Adhering to par-lists of food and paper goods
• Filling out orders for food and paper goods
• Stocking using FIFO method
• Running dish-washer
• Pulling dishes and putting away
• Filling out opening and closing check-lists
• Washing hands often
• Changing gloves often
• Clocking in and out at correct time for shift

Dish Room

• Read/write/verbal communication
• Operating commercial dish machine
• Handling soiled dishes according to sanitary standards
• Following hospital rules regarding privacy when in contact with items containing patient names, date of birth, room number, etc.
• Deep cleaning
• Washing, pulling, and putting away dishes
• Recording temperature of dish-machine
• Filling out cleaning lists (chore list)
• Keeping track of cleaning item par list
• Placing orders with supervisor for cleaning items
• Picking up catering orders for caterer when asked
• Staying caught up with dishes
• Washing hands often
• Changing gloves often
• Clocking in and out at correct time for shift
