Responsibilities
- Setting up condiments and panning food
- Food portioning
- Preparing food trays
- Serving on food lines
- Clearing and cleaning dining and serving areas
- Putting away stock and kitchenettes
- Washing dishes, pots, and pans in a volume dining or food service facility
- Ensuring the various dietary needs of clients, patients, students, and inmates are met to adhere to specific nutritional requirements and dietary needs
- Monitoring and reviewing prescribed dietary orders
- Following portion control guidelines
Requirements
- Six months of experience in customer or food service
- Must have a Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of appointment OR completion of the Marion County Advanced Food Management Principles and Concepts Training, including HACCP Certification, at the time of appointment
- Must always be current & certified in safe hood handling certifications
- Valid Oregon Driver’s license
- Must be able to speak, write, understand, and follow written & verbal instructions in English
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work during inclement weather
- Effectively operate standard food service equipment
- Able to work hours that are subject to change with little notice; may be required to work hours that exceed the regular schedule
