Food Service Worker I
About the role
Sentara Leigh Hospital Food Service is hiring a Food Service Worker (Utility Worker) to work Full-time, Rotating Shifts, covering both day and evening shifts, and work every other weekend. Food Service Workers are essential members of the food services team who offer support to the team and contribute in multiple ways, such as delivering nutritious meals and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
This position entails various responsibilities, including but not limited to preparing and assembling food according to dietary guidelines, safety and customer preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes, working as a cashier, meeting utility needs, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld.

Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Food Handler's Card - Certification - Food Service Certification, as required by local Health Department (Required)
- Utility experience (Preferred)
- Food Service experience (Preferred)
- Customer Service experience (Preferred)
