Food Service Worker I

About the role

Employee performs essential job functions of the Nutrition Services department, including Ambassador Service procedures and dish room activities to provide all aspects of food service for patients. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils while meeting all sanitation standards.
• Dispose of trash and refuse, and sanitize containers properly as assigned.
• Serve a variety of food items to patients, employees, and guests.
• Maintain sanitation of work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
• Quantity or institutional food service experience preferred.
• Demonstrated age-specific competency regarding food preparation and service.
• San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

Pay

$23.00 - $31.82 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
