FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About the role
Chartwells K12 is hiring immediately for full time and part time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions. Located at Kayenta Unified School District - US North Highway 163, Mustang Boulevard, Kayenta, AZ 86033. Online applications only. Schedules: Full time and part time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. More details upon interview.
Responsibilities
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Solves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
- Affirms compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Affirms compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior food service experience is preferred, but not required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Food handler certification is preferred.
Skills
Must have strong communication and customer service skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Pay
$16.00 per hour to $17.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
