FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About the role
Chartwells K12 is hiring immediate full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at Long Beach School District - 19148 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS 39560. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Solves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
- Affirms compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Affirms compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food preparation and service standards.

Pay
Fixed Pay Rate: $11.67 per hour.
