FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)
About the role
We are hiring immediate full-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at the University of Maryland - Baltimore County. Address: 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, MD 21250. Online applications only. Schedules: Full time and part time, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Sunday - Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Solves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Affirms compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
No prior experience is needed. Willing to train!
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Food service experience preferred but not required.
Skills
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
