Food Service Worker - Food Service - Full-Time-Evenings-Weekends Required

About the role

Serving as a valued member of the team, the Food Service Worker provides essential support and superior customer service to our patients and their families. This role fosters a culture of compassion, caring, and safety to ensure a positive experience for every patient, every time. The position involves various responsibilities including preparing meals daily and serving meals to patients directly.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support and superior customer service to patients and their families.
• Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, and safety to ensure a positive experience for every patient, every time.
• Prepare meals daily and serve meals to patients directly.
• Work various capacities including back of the house to prepare patient meals on the tray line, and work the Food Cart.

Requirements

• Full-time position at NYP Westchester Hospital with evening shift hours of 4:00pm - 8:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Experience with food handling and prior experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to interact with patients and follow up with tray line set up and production.
• Ability to follow oral and written instruction and established procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
