About the role
This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Seneca County Jail. We are offering a bonus of up to $1,250.
Responsibilities
- Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
- Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
- Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
- Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
- Train other food service workers.
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
- Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
