Food Service Worker

$19.25 / hour plus tips (average tips are $5 an hour). Full-time with benefits, paid vacation and sick time, and commuter benefits.

About the role

We are hiring Food Service Workers to work at our locations inside the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Food Service Workers prepare, serve, sell, and stock delicious food and beverages for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Set up, maintain, clean, and break down machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
• Return all items used during your shift to the proper place
• Clean and organize all work and storage areas, including coolers and refrigerators
• Empty and re-line all trash containers
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• One year of experience working in a food service environment
• High school diploma preferred
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit as required by law
• Brand certification as required
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to operate a keyboard and point-of-sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
