The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview The Food Service Worker performs a wide variety of routine tasks in all food service areas to prepare equipment and foods for service according to standard practices and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements while ensuring that customer needs and satisfaction are met. Qualifications Preferred: Prior experience in food service Scheduling Requirements Hours vary such as 5:00am-1:30pm, with 10:30am-7:00pm being the main shiftRotating weekendsFull Time Essential Functions Adheres to Attendance and Reliability Standards. Gives proper notification for absence or tardiness as per policyAssists in hot/cold food portioningAssists in serving meals in the cafeteria and on the unitsAssists in tray set-upCollects, processes and disposes of trash accordingly. Performs general cleaning duties as requestedDelivers meals to patient care units. Assists patients when possible. Cleans food carriers upon return. Prepares, stocks and transports food carriersFollows work assignments as establishedKeep dining room tables straightened and cleanLocks register when leaving the immediate areaOperates cash register accordingly. Collects cash/ guest meal tickets and makes change as neededParticipates and maintains cleaning schedules. Maintains cleanliness of work area, equipment and suppliesPerforms all other duties as assignedReconciles cash accurately and fills out a reconciliation slip. Responsible for all reconciliations with a $3.00 overage/shortageScrapes, scours and rinses pots, pans, utensils and equipment. Performs heavy cleaning dutiesSet up menu board to reflect current menuWipe off counters and tables, arrange and replenish items as needed.
