Food Service Worker

About the role

The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is now hiring part time Food Service Workers for a varied schedule of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. This position is essential in helping to prepare and deliver meals to residents while performing important tasks in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meals to residents
• Perform tasks in the kitchen including assembly, prep, delivery
• Follow proper sanitation and infection control procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role in food service strongly preferred
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays
• Will be friendly and sociable, able to provide comfort to patients with good interpersonal skills - both verbal and in writing
• Team member with a collaborative, team-based work environment
