Food Service Worker

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understands and follows oral and written directions
• Experience in food service operation preferred

Responsibilities

• Fulfills all District policies and procedures
• Fulfills all state and federal regulations
• Works in extreme temperatures
• Stands for extended periods of time
• Lifts fifty pounds without assistance
• Operates commercial food service equipment
• Cleans kitchen, serving areas, and equipment
• Prepares food items and determines appropriate quantities
• Maintains food quality standards
• Prepares and serves food in accordance with health and sanitation standards
• Maintains temperatures of food to ensure safety and quality
• Stores unused food and supplies, disposes of leftovers, and handles foods for storage
• Records amounts of foods cooked and leftover foods, and collects money and maintains accurate records
• Participates in in-service training programs

Benefits

The contract length will be 178 days.

Evaluation Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the food service manager who is assisted by the food service supervisor in regard to evaluations.
