Food Service Worker

About the Role

This is routine manual work involved in the preparation and service of food. The position operates under the immediate supervision of a cook or higher designee. While the primary focus is on food service tasks, incumbents may occasionally perform basic cooking duties requiring less skill than those of a Cook. This role does not involve supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Set and clear tables before and after meals.
• Refill sugar bowls and salt and pepper shakers.
• Polish silverware, tables, and chairs.
• Clean dining rooms, dish closets, and linen closets.
• Wash, clean, and prepare vegetables and fruit for cooking.
• Assist in the preparation of salads and desserts.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans by hand or machine.
• Transport food as needed.
• Act as a cashier when required.
