Food Service Worker

About the role

This part-time Food Service Worker position offers variable hours and days at 0.5 FTE. Shift differentials apply: an extra $1.04 per hour for shifts between 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm, $1.90 per hour for shifts between 11:01 pm and 7:00 am, and $0.81 per hour for weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Stock food supplies and monitor temperatures to maintain food quality and safety
• Ensure food being served looks appetizing and appealing
• Maintain the dishwashing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition
• Operate the cash register in the cafeteria when assigned
• Perform routine and repetitive tasks such as washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
• Interact professionally and courteously with the public and work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience, preferably in an institutional setting
• Oregon Food Handler Card issued by an agency approved by the Oregon Department of Health, or a valid food manager training certificate, required upon start
