Duties Description

As a Food Service Worker 1, you would be responsible for serving food and maintaining cleanliness in food serving areas. Medium to heavy physical effort may be required. Your duties include:

• Serving food from food carts to dining areas
• Transporting food carts to serving areas
• Returning used dishes and equipment to pot and dishwashing areas
• Helping with some food preparation tasks
• Cleaning serving or tray line areas as needed
• Making sure all equipment is ready for the next meal
• Operating a dishwasher as needed
• Participating in sanitation activities in dining areas and other food service and preparation areas
• Ordering and storing supplies
• Ensuring proper feeding of individuals in the care of the facility

Minimum Qualifications

There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and speak and write in English.
