Food Service Utility Rep.-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center-Full Time

About the Role

Responsible for maintaining all aspects of kitchen sanitation in compliance with hospital, local, and state regulations. Cleans and organizes work areas, equipment, utensils, and service stations. Performs food preparation duties, prepares fruits and vegetables, and serves customers swiftly and efficiently. Maintains knowledge of products and provides customers with accurate information as needed.

Responsibilities

• Works in the dish room: scraps trays, loads the dish machine, sorts and cleans silverware, and sanitizes small cooking utensils and equipment in accordance with regulatory and department standards.
• Prepares silverware, cleans and sanitizes patient and non-patient trays and components.
• Maintains proper pre- and post-service sanitation for assigned workstation.
• Provides customers with information regarding food ingredients, availability, and pricing.
• Serves customers in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Complies with relevant safety, hygiene, and service standards and procedures.
• Maintains a professional attitude toward patients, visitors, team members, and leadership.
• Escalates customer concerns and complaints to management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months of food service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification.
• ServSafe or equivalent certification.
